This is a photo of School #3 taken this morning in Tula, Russia. The students were eager to give our Olympiad winners a tour of the music room, the English room and talk about the pending winter Olympics in Sochi next year.
2013 Olympiad student winners Margarette Keessee and Will Heatley along with ATA Education Chair Barbara Webster took to the friendly skies last Saturday for a one-week adventure in Russia. Their packed schedule includes stays with host families in Tula, visits to the local elementary, high schools and colleges and introductions to exciting new cultures, cuisines and customs.
With limited internet access and even less time to write, on the 5th day, Margarette Keesee finally chimed in with how much fun she’s having:
“The Labutin family I’m staying with have been wonderful to me. I’m learning so much plus I get to practice my Russian.”
